100 editions. 1,184 posts (and counting). In the 10 months since The Energy Mix first appeared, we’ve had a chance to watch and help tell the story of a rapid transformation of the world’s energy systems.
When we launched last May 8, oil prices were still in the range of $100 per barrel. The U.S. Clean Power Plan had not yet been released. The China-U.S. climate deal was still more than half a year away. And no one would have expected that a massive march in New York City in September, followed by a partial win during climate negotiations in Lima at year’s end, would set the stage for a potentially historic global deal in Paris at the end of this year.

We wanted The Energy Mix to serve and bring together two communities: the committed, tireless, frighteningly knowledgeable content producers whose material crosses our desks every day, and the front-line climate and energy educators, researchers, and advocates who don’t have time to scan 300 or more headlines per week.
