Parents in the United States are pushing back against efforts to teach public school students that climate change is a scientific debate, rather than settled science. John Friedrich of Climate Parents, one of four organizations behind the newly-released Climate Science Students Bill of Rights, argues that “It’s unacceptable for students to be denied information about this crisis. Young people need to be given the tools to develop solutions.” Teachers who are climate deniers “need to know that you can have those views, but you can’t teach them in school,” added Jennifer McIntyre of Moms Clean Air Force “You have to teach real science.” (h/t to InsideClimate News)
