Earlier this month a mysterious 800-metre diameter oil spill was located in the water south of Townsville, Queensland in Australia. The spill broke up to an oily film spreading over 30 kilometers south of Townsville and is currently reaching shores in palm-sized clumps, reported The Brisbane Times. Samples taken will be used to track down the vessel responsible.
