This is the most hopeful piece on climate policy that I’ve read in some time. Apparently, the U.S. President is taking climate change more and more seriously, and sees climate action as an important part of his legacy from eight years in office. He’s been moved by images of California losing 86% of its snow pack in one year, is right up to date on methane releases from natural gas fracking operations, routinely raises climate concerns in his meetings with other world leaders…and has been hearing about the climate crisis from his daughters. Climate solutions still have to come from the ground up, but those solutions will be able to cover so much more ground, so much more quickly, with solid political support!
