Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne used the Paris climate summit as a stage to announce her province will spend $20 million of its recently announced $325 million green investment fund to extend a network of public charging stations for electric vehicles.

Wynn said the province where four in ten Canadians live will seek private and public-sector partners to install electric vehicle charging stations in urban centers, jobsites, and multi-unit dwellings. The province also subsidizes the purchase of electric vehicles with a C$8,500 rebate.
