India has taken on ambitious goals like meeting 40% of their energy needs through renewables by 2030, and aim to increase their renewable energy capacity five-fold by 2022. Renewable Energy World recommends they create effective energy policies in favour of renewables, electrify transportation, decentralize energy, and integrate utility-scale renewable energy production, develop energy storage, and increase national research and development.
