Ontario’s Green Energy Act: Better Than We Hoped

At the end of last month the government of Ontario, with the help of the Toronto Atmospheric Fund, introduced amendments to the Green Energy Act. It will help Ontario’s large building owners manage their energy and water consumption, and save money on their utility bills in the process. The new amendments will provide increased transparency and data of large buildings, a requirement being that building owners will need to report their water consumption and GHG emissions per square foot.
