The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) suspended Volkswagen’s diesel cars shortly after the EPA discovered Volkswagen Group’s violation of the Clean Air Act. Volkswagen’s diesel car performed well on ACEEE’s annual rankings since 2009, reaching its list of the top 12 “greenest” vehicles, but in response to recent events ACEEE has suspended its Green Scores for the vehicle until further notice.
