Innventia and BillerudKorsnäs have created an economical method for nanocellulose production. Being strong, stretchable, and renewable, this once, costly chemical has a wide range of applications, like replacing plastic in most paper and cardboard production. Innventia and BillerudKorsnäs plan to take nanocellulose on the road as soon as they finish developing a mobile demonstration factory to reach industries that do not have their own testing facilities.
