Chris Brown, president of Vestas sales and service operations in the United States, gave his opinion on whether there has been a national shift in climate change perspective within the United States. Brown says much of the shift is driven by low prices of natural gas from fracking, and additionally from climate change activism breaking into popular culture. Brown says, “There’s an important point for state policymakers: we have turned a corner in the national conversation about climate change.” Even further, the Clean Power Plan standards have made state officials accountable to “implementation plans.” Finally, Brown says that federal policy makers should also consider tax policies for renewable energies considering the growth of wind in the last year.
