A panel led by Republican lawmakers recommends stalling Ohio’s plan to require 25% of electricity to come from renewable sources by 2025. Currently, the requirement is 2.5% after a 2-year freeze imposed
last year. But Governor Kasich says the freeze was a mistake. “A continued freeze of Ohio’s energy standards is unacceptable. Ohio has everything it needs to be a leader in the clean energy economy — from a strong manufacturing base to world-class research universities.”
