Little Buffalo, Alberta has finally installed their Solar Project after a year of pressure from local citizen, Melina Laboucan-Massimo. Along with W Dusk Energy Group, Laboucan-Massimo garnered strong community support, and raised funds with Bullfrog Power and the Earth Foundation. According to Laboucan-Massimo the project is “First and foremost about energy sovereignty. But it could also offer a sustainable way of generating revenue for communities, instead of having to generate revenue through destructive resource extraction.”
