California-based Advanced Microgrid Solutions (AMS) raise US$18 million an investment round whose backers included ex-California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. What sets AMS apart from customer-focused distributed storage developers is that they are offering utility companies full control of the systems for grid services, reports Greentech Media. Their first deployment is expected in 2016.
