The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) recently enlisted Clean Power Research (CPR) to create a methodology for valuing customer-sited and behind-the-meter solar+storage systems in Hawaii. Renewable Energy World reports that CPR’s methodology can be easily applied nearly anywhere, citing California and Virginia as two current examples. Better still, utility companies should like the methodology because it lays out the economics in the terminology they use every day.
