Japan could triple its electricity generation from renewable sources by 2030, according to a study produced by Mitsubishi Research Institute for the country’s Ministry of the Environment.
Output from solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, biomass, and ocean energy could increase from 116.1 to between 241.4 and 356.6 terawatt/hours (TWh), depending on specific energy policies. (h/t to InsideClimate News for pointing us to this story)
