USDA Grants Support Drought Relief, Wildlife Habitats

January 19, 2015
Reading time: 1 minute

Drought relief, wildlife habitats, and species conservation are part of the agenda in a U.S. Department of Agriculture decision to invest more than $370 million in 115 conservation projects across the U.S., matching $400 million in partner contributions, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced last week.

“This is an entirely new approach to conservation efforts,” Vilsack said. “These efforts keep our land resilient and water clean, and promote economic growth in agriculture, construction, tourism, outdoor recreation, and other industries.”
