Climate Reality Canada and several other organizations are trying to build public opposition to a series of climate denial billboards that have cropped up in six major cities across the country.
“Pattison Outdoor Advertising is participating in a public disinformation campaign led by Friends of Science, an Alberta-based organization determined to sow doubt on climate science,” Climate Reality writes in a change.org petition. “The sun is the main driver of climate change,” the billboards claim. “Not you. Not CO2.”

Friends of Science “has a long history of working hand in hand with oil industry lobbyists,” but “does not have the support of any reputable scientific body,” Climate Reality states.
The bilingual campaign is urging Pattison Outdoor Advertising President Randy Otto to take down the billboards and “refrain from taking part in this disinformation campaign.”
