The Union of Concerned Scientists is asking U.S. supporters to speak up for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and clean vehicle tax incentives that have already expired, or will by the end of the year.
“We need to call on Congress to support a more level playing field for clean energy,” UCS writes. “Fossil fuel interests, such as the Koch brothers, are calling on Congress to go even farther and eliminate tax credits that spark new investments in clean energy and support jobs.”
“Meanwhile, fossil fuels will continue to benefit from permanent subsidies that are not available to clean energy technologies.”
