Citing climate change as “”one of the gravest crises our planet has ever faced,” Massachusetts prosecutor Sam Sutter has dropped charges against two anti-coal campaigners who were charged after blockading a delivery to a Somerset, MA power plant. Sutter “said the decision to drop criminal charges was made with concerns for ‘the children of Bristol County and beyond’ in his mind,” Upton writes. “He also announced that he planned to join the People’s Climate March in New York later this month.” Sutter added: “In my humble opinion, the political leadership on this issue has been sorely lacking.”
