The utilities department in Fort Collins, CO is building a 333-kW solar photovoltaic array and will allow about 65,000 of its residential customers to own a share of the project. The city, already considered one of the greenest in the state, is launching the program in partnership with Clean Energy Collective, a Colorado-based community solar developer. Fort Collins is also reviewing its Climate Action Plan, aiming to reduce its carbon pollution 80% by 2030 based on 2005 levels.
